Become Your Own Financial Adviser
Why do I write this newsletter? To help you assess your financial health and build a plan to protect it, that's why.
I’ve spent the past fifteen years working with successful professionals around the World. I’ve consulted with people working for Barclays, HSBC, Santander, Peloton, X, Jacobs Engineering, Turo International, Block, Roku, Handshake, Hackerone and many more.
Now I’ve established my own company, DFB Wealth Strategies. My goal is to empower individuals in making better, confident financial decisions through transparent, fixed fee planning, placing them in control of their future without products sales or % fees.
I'm putting pen to paper here in an effort to assist you in being your own finance adviser. I'd like the newsletter to be the type of inside information that has helped my clients steer clear of many financial pitfalls through the years.
I don't know about you, but I'm fed up reading article after article from self-proclaimed experts spouting the same generic and cyclical advice on how to be better about finance. Okay, save your emergency fund, purchase some insurance, invest in an international index fund. What does some of it all boil down to? Weren't you already attempting to do all these things already?
I want to dive much deeper than much of the literature on the topic today. I want to reveal how you adopt the proper mindset in order to own your finances, manage your own and your family's finances and retire on your own terms with confidence.
I want to unlock the door on what planning for your finances looks like and share the timelines, effort involved, and whether and when you should pay for expert advice. I would like to share the planning methodologies and the planning templates I have employed in my work with clients throughout the years.
I want to share with you things to look out for and insurance you should consider having in place at each stage along the journey. I want to walk you through the process, step by step, of getting that very initial investment underway - from deciding on the type and the fund through to methods for avoiding tax. I want to illustrate for you how you can maximise your income and live the retirement you want.
This newsletter will be providing modern, practical tips from somebody who has spent years in the trenches doing the work - and has my own, independent, fixed fee advice business. None of it will be abstract, it will be the experience won through tough (and sometimes bitter) lessons.
I'm looking forward to having the opportunity to share my practical lessons and steps along the way.
